A PDF reader that remembers your page on iPhone and iPad
A good PDF reader reopens where you stopped, on every device, and lets you bookmark the pages you want to come back to. justRead saves your position automatically and restores it when you open the book again, even after the app has been closed.
See how the place is kept
How the place is kept
Three things bring you back to the right page.
- Closing and reopening
- Your position saves itself and survives a cold launch.
- Switching device
- On another device, justRead catches up to the furthest page you reached.
- Bookmarks
- A bookmark button in the PDF toolbar marks a page, and a list lets you jump back to it.
- Highlights
- A highlight can carry a note, so you return to a sentence, not only a page.
Ways to find your way in a long PDF
Contents
A contents sheet lists the outline of the document, when it has one.
Pages
The pages sheet lists every page as a thumbnail, and a tap jumps straight there.
Search
Search in the PDF toolbar finds words inside any file with a text layer.
Layout
Choose fit-to-width or whole-page view, vertical or horizontal scrolling, or a two-page spread.
Make long files easier to read
Inverting a PDF's colours gives it a true dark mode, whatever the file.
Time spent in a PDF also counts in Statistics and keeps your reading streak alive. The full list of PDF features lives on the PDF reader page.
What it does not promise
No ink or forms
Drawing with Apple Pencil, freehand ink and form filling are not part of justRead.
No reflow
A PDF keeps its page layout, so the text size you set for EPUBs does not change it. Zoom in instead.
Files stay yours
Position and bookmarks sync, but the files do not move for you. Keep them in a folder every device can reach, such as iCloud Drive.
