Your Home Screen Dashboard

You open justRead in the morning. Right there: the two books you are currently reading, the page you left off on, and your reading goal for the day. No tapping through menus. No remembering which book you were in. It is all on the home screen, updated the moment you close a reading session.

Your reading streak sits front and centre. Fourteen days in a row, or two. Either way, you see it immediately. The daily goal bar fills as you read, and when you finish a book it slides from Currently Reading into Recently Finished automatically.

Below that: your Want to Read queue. Books you have been meaning to start, sorted however you like. One tap to open any of them. The home screen is not a menu to navigate. It is the command centre for your reading life.

Rich Book Details at a Glance

Tap any book and its detail card opens with everything Apple Books does not show you. Reading pace, total time spent, highlight count, series position, genre, page count, and file size. Your reading speed drops right under the title so you know at a glance whether this is a weekend read or a two-week commitment.

Every highlight and annotation you have ever made in that book lives in one scrollable panel. Search through them, share your favourite quotes directly, or export the entire set to Markdown or plain text. Your notes belong to you, not locked inside the app.

Your Library on Your Home Screen

The Current Book widget shows your cover, title, and reading progress right on the home screen. The Reading Goal widget displays today's target and how far you have come. The Streak widget counts consecutive days read. Glance at your phone and know exactly where you stand without opening anything.
